CCNA Curriculum

Unauthorized use of Curriculum

Read these two items (Unauthorized use of curriculum and Cheating – instructor classes) before continuing on to curriculum:

The Cisco Networking Academy curriculum and designated tools are considered 'copyrighted' materials. Any unauthorized use of the Cisco Networking Academy Program tools and curriculum is prohibited and is considered a violation of federal copyright law. Unauthorized use of the curriculum includes, but is not limited to, downloading, printing, copying, and/or burning the curriculum to a CD. Academies are required to download the curriculum to an internal server to provide their Instructors and Students with localized access. Any access to the curriculum outside of the Academy's internal server must be done via the Internet at http://cisco.netacad.net. Where students are also able to view the Academy curriculum. Please remind your Students that any printing, copying, downloading, burning the curriculum to a CD, and/or unauthorized use of the Academy curriculum is considered a violation of federal copyright law. Instructors and Students may purchase companion materials for the curriculum. Academy participants may purchase companion materials from the following recommended vendors.

Please Note: Cisco allows Students and Instructors to print the labs within the curriculum. We recommend that Students direct any questions regarding the appropriate use of the curriculum and materials to their Academy Instructor.

Cisco doesn’t have a policy that applies to the management of student classes since that is the role of the individual school – our policy is spelled out in the course syllabus. Cisco does have a policy on cheating regarding instructor classes.

Trainee Cheating

(QAP ver 4.0 April 2002)

Cheating by an instructor in any form is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Any instructor who is observed cheating while at instructor training will be asked to leave the class immediately. The training Academy will contact the main contact at the instructor’s Academy informing them of why the instructor was unable to complete the class. Instructors who are caught cheating will be required to wait thirty days (30) before they are eligible to register for training.
