Cisco Networking Academy Curriculum

The Cisco Academy is much more than just the CCNA Networking Academy. Cisco has partnered with other leading IT organizations to provide additional training and education. In partnership with Hewlett-Packard the Academy Program provides IT Essentials I and II that prepares students for the CompTIA A+ certification. Working with Sun Microsystems the Academy Program offers Fundamentals of JAVATM Programming and Fundamentals of UNIX®. Several other courses are also offered.

The Cisco Networking Academy Curriculum includes CCNA and CCNP courses as well as other Non-Cisco courses such as :Web Design, Java, Network Security and Unix. Cisco Systems has developed curriculum that is available to high schools and colleges suitable for complete high school or college courses. The academy program provides training to the instructors, on-line curriculum to be posted on your server, hands-on lab exercises, on-line chapter exams, on-line final exams, supplemental reading materials, etc. (a complete learning management system). The regional academy provides instruction to your teachers and will support their educational needs.

At the high school level this provides two years of networking training and education. This material meets national math and science standards. The Academy provides four additional courses at the CCNP level (these courses are not intended for high schools).

Course Demos

The Cisco Network Academy web site offers demos of each of the classes offered. The Cisco Networking Academy program includes four course demos at the CCNA level. Take the time to review these demos and determine if you have what it takes to become CCNA certtified!
